How I Like to Work With People
In my experience, engaging the client in the decision-making process helps minimize confusion and misunderstanding during the implementation and monitoring stages of investments and financial planning. This requires a longer time commitment in the earlier phases of the portfolio and plan design but increases efficiency later on. As market conditions change, so do client portfolios, and I do enjoy going over these developments, keeping the client in the equation as we progress.
Why I became a Wealth Advisor
I believe this is one of the most meaningful ways to help others. I enjoy following the markets, learning about investor psychology, and I have an aptitude for numbers. There is no better profession than wealth management that combines these areas and so my career evolved naturally, starting with a graduate degree in finance. As I have gained more experience, I have come to discover that personal finance is more personal than finance, and I shifted my focus to financial planning and got my Certified Financial Planner (R) certification. After more than 20 years in this field, the number of people I have helped navigate through complex financial circumstances is in thousands, and knowing that helps me sleep well at night.
Areas of focus
I usually focus my attention on the macroeconomic environment, which almost no investment theme can be isolated from in the long run. Once these megatrends are outlined, then the investment implications and client goals are aligned within this landscape.
